Donald V. Badgley
May 2, 1927-March 8, 2014

Don Badgley, born in Anderson, Indiana on May 2, 1927, was received in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on March 8, 2014 in Muncie.

He attended Anderson schools and graduated from Anderson High School in 1945, having studied at Culver Military Academy his junior year. His college education at Purdue was interrupted when he served his country in the Army Intelligence from March 16, 1946 until May 13, 1947. After graduating from Purdue in 1950, Don embarked upon his engineering career at Electromotive Division of General Motors in LaGrange, IL, and Delco Battery in Muncie before retiring in 1973 to answer his call into the ministry. For the next 23 years, he faithfully served and pastored three Muncie-area churches. His influence enabled Indiana to have its first low power Christian television station which he operated for 28 1/2 years until it went off the air in 2010. First Presbyterian Church in Anderson became his church home the last years of his life.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie V. and Ruth (Tanner) Badgley, 6 sisters, and 2 brothers.

He is survived by his faithful wife whom he loved for over 62 years, Adrienne, his children, Elizabeth Simmons of Tulsa, OK, Tucker Badgley of Lindenhurst, IL, Barbara Cornett of Georgetown, KY, Lucy Ezzo of Newtown, PA, Ted Badgley of Ft. Wayne, and James Badgley of Indianapolis. fifteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, 230 W. Ninth Street in Anderson. Burial will follow the service at East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.
