New Bedford – Yvonne (Blanchette) Leduc, 96, of Summer Street, New Bedford died Monday, October 25, 2004 at Sacred Heart Home after a long illness. She was the widow of Philias E. Leduc.
She was born in Garthby, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Pierere and Emilie (Lahaie) Blanchette, and grew up in Fall River prior to residing in North Dartmouth for 47 years and for the last 3 years in New Bedford. Prior to her retirement she was a warper tender in various mills in Fall River. Mrs. Leduc was a communicant of St. George Church, Westport. She was a former member of the St. George Women’s Guild.
She is survived by a daughter: Doris Marceau and her husband Normand of Dartmouth; 4 granddaughters: Janice Levesque of Fall River, Diane Marceau of New Bedford, Pauline Turner of New Bedford and Joanne Sylvia of New Bedford; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Pierere Blanchette, Joseph Blanchette, Belanie Blanchette, Napoleon Blanchette, Johnnie Blanchette, Aime’ Blanchette, Delphine Drouin, Leonie Drouin, Marie Paradis, Alma Huot and Rose Ida Bosse’e.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be from the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Road, Westport, Thursday, October 28, 2004 at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Wednesday 4 - 7 P.M.
Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
