LACONIA - Paul H. Blakely, 78, of 66 Davis Place, Apt. #3, Laconia, died February 25, 2014 as a result of an apartment fire.
Paul was born in Goffstown, NH in 1935. He moved to Laconia in 1944 and spent the rest of his life in the Laconia area. Paul was self employed doing laundry and ironing. He loved spending time with his friends. He was well known in the community and was described as “a very loving and caring man, who would give you the shirt off his back.”
Paul is survived by his sister, Shirley Glidden and her husband Roland, three nieces, Anna Reynolds, Barbara Blais, and Cheryl Iller. He also leaves behind his good friends, Edie McCormack and Lloyd Wylie.
Memorial calling hours will be held from 1PM to 3PM on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. Burial services will be private.
