T.J. Paulk, 82, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Sunday, October 24, 2004 at the William F. Green State Veterans Home in Bay Minette, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 27, 2004, at Frank Primitive Baptist Church, Irwin County with Elder Ed McIntyre and Elder Elliotte Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Henderson Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Irwin County. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Paulk was born December 8, 1921, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Jacob T. and Margaret Gray Paulk. He lived in Irwin County most of his life and for the past three years made his home in Alabama, to be near his daughter. Mr. Paulk was a retired farmer and he served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Frank Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County, Georgia.
Mr. Paulk is survived by his daughter: Amelia P. Hammock, Daphne, AL; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one sister: Grace P. Gibbs, Ocilla. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Benson Paulk.
