Kerri Lis Connors, age 38, of Natick, MA, formerly of Brewerton NY, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, March 2, 2014. Kerri had fought an incredible 8 year battle with Breast Cancer. She was the devoted wife of Jeffrey A. Connors, Jr.
Born and raised in Brewerton NY, Kerri was a daughter of Stanley and Patricia (Muhl) Lis. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY, and a Masters Degree from Emerson College in Boston, MA.
Kerri settled in Natick, MA, in 2007 where she resided with her husband. She enjoyed cooking, spending time outside with her two golden retrievers, Gus and Charlie, reading and writing, and collecting many first editions novels. Kerri was an avid sports fan including Syracuse basketball, soccer, skiing and running. She had raised over $10,000 for Cancer research running the NYC marathon. She also enjoyed traveling the world and most recently returned from Alaska. Kerri was employed with Hologic, Inc., a Women’s Health Company in the Boston area where she worked in Product and Marketing management.
In addition to her husband and parents, Kerri is survived by a brother, Scott Lis of Boston, MA; a sister, Tracy Lis of Sloansville; and many loving relatives and friends.
Visiting hours will be at the Fergerson Funeral Home, 215 South Main Street, North Syracuse, from 4-7P.M. on Friday, March 7th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Basilica on Saturday at 11:00A.M. Interment will follow at North Syracuse Cemetery. Please wear something orange in her memory.
