Obituary

BEVERLY: Mary N. (Donlon) Curran, 81, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 1, 2014 at her home. She was the wife of the late Roy E. Curran who died in 2007.
Born in Beverly on April 5, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Lillian (McNeil) Donlon. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and was a lifelong resident of Beverly.
Mary was employed as a data processor for the City of Beverly for several years. She and Roy enjoyed traveling the country by motor home and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia F. and Peter Brotchie of Wenham; her son, Roy E. Curran of Beverly; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Julia and Cassie Curran and Elizabeth, Matthew, John and Lilli Brotchie; three sisters, Patricia Donlon, Joan Sholomith and Margaret Estabrook all of Beverly; three brothers, James Donlon of Danvers, William Donlon and his wife, Skippy of Palm Bay, FL and Richard Donlon and his wife, Gail of Beverly; sister-in-law, Calista Donlon of Beverly; three brothers-in-law, Robert Curran of Salem, George Curran and his wife, Tina of Burlington and Donald Cann and his wife, Joy of Sumter, SC and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a brother, John Donlon and a sister, Jean Goyette.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot St., Beverly at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to The North Shore Veterans Counseling Services, 45 Broadway, Beverly, MA 01915. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly.
