Connell, Phyllis M. of Marshfield, passed away on March 2, 2014 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of James P. Connell. Loving mother of Janet Dekofski and her husband Richard of Orlando, FL, Judith Besegai and her late husband Warren of Plymouth, Linda Sheehan and her husband Alfred of Marshfield, Charlene Seger and her husband Terry of Duxbury and Patricia Merry and her husband James of Plymouth. Loving grandmother of five grandsons, five granddaughters, three great grandsons and five great granddaughters. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Charlotte (Dearborn) and Ralph Baker. Phyllis was the oldest of eleven children. Dear sister of Truman Sizemore, Anita Gaulet, Eugene Sizemore, Kerwin Sizemore and the late John Sizemore, Stewart Baker, Linwood Baker, Curtis Baker, Marlene Salisbery and Ronald Sizemore.
Phyllis was a nurse by trade. She worked at Fairfield Pines Nursing Home in Marshfield for several years and Stetson Manor in Norwell for many years. She will be remembered as a kind and caring person always doing for others and not asking for anything in return.
Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Thursday, March 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. A service will be held on Friday, March 7 in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held in MA National Cemetery in Bourne.
