Hubert “Billy Boy” C. Belisle, 90, passed away February 27, 2014 at Trinity Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Belisle was pre-deceased by his wife Muriel (Bibeault) Belisle. They were happily married for fifty eight years. Born in Woonsocket, November 6, 1923, he was a son of the late Albert and Ozilda (Boulet) Belisle. Hubert was a lifelong city resident, he graduated from Mt. St. Charles Academy. He was a US Army Veteran and served in WWII. Mr. Belisle was a mail carrier for the US Post Office for twenty three years retiring in 1984. He was a member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus, and was very active at St. Ann’s Parish.
He is survived by his sisters, Marie Jean Belleville and Noella Dion, and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his siblings, Irenee, Hildege, Fabiola, Lucien, Theodore, and Theresa Belisle.
His funeral with visitation will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland.
