Craig Wade Burdette, 47, of Ty Ty died Sunday, March 2, 2014, at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Salem Baptist Church. Rev. Andy Ring and Dr. Danny Ray will officiate with burial to follow in Salem Memorial Gardens. Chris Burdette, Keith Sutton, Ross Sutton, Keith Beasley, Ben Tanner and Rusty Hogan will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 3, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Mr. Burdette will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Burdette was born on July 19, 1966 in Tift County and was the son of Henry Burdette and Emogene Wilson Burdette, both deceased. He was a farmer and a member of Salem Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and fish.
Mr. Burdette is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Jan Burdette of Ty Ty; his niece and nephew, Eric and Angel Mullis of Tifton; his great-nephew, E. J. Mullis of Tifton; his great-niece, Kelsey Mullis of Tifton; and his aunts and uncles, C. A. Jr. and Hortense Burdett of Sycamore, Cleo and Eldridge Beasley, Emma Lou Burdette and Velma Burdette, all of Ty Ty, Esther Engebretsen of California, Doris Casey of Ty Ty, Virginia Beasley of Tifton, Mary Williams of Moultrie, Carolyn Bates of Moultrie, Laverne Willis of Tifton, Jennifer Wilson of Tifton, Elizabeth Wilson of Tifton and Donald Wilson of Moultrie.
