Stoughton, MA 02072.Mrs. Slye died Wednesday afternoon at St. Joseph Manor, Brockton after a period of failing health.She was born in Brockton daughter of the late Francis “Frank” and Ella (Conefrey) Clifford. She remained a life long resident.
Mrs. Slye was a graduate of Brockton High School and Brockton Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse at the Brockton Hospital for most of her career. She was a member of the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association and had been a cub scout den mother when her sons were young.She had been a long time communicant of St. Patrick Church.
She is survived by two sons and four grandchildrenOne sister Beatrice Rogers of Brockton and one brother William Clifford of PennsylvaniaMany nieces and nephewsShe was the sister of the late Loretta Kane, Bernice Canavan, Frank, George, Fred, Gene, Robert Brendan and Edward Clifford
