Obituary

Karen (Ceurvels) McIver, 56, of Abington, passed away Saturday March 1st at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Richard and Florence (Pienkos) Ceurvels of Abington.

She was born in Boston, grew up in Dorchester and Abington and was a graduate of Abington High School.

Karen was an Abington resident for over 40 years. She was a longtime active member of the St. Bridget Church in Abington. She worked in the data entry department at New England Art for over 20 years. She enjoyed and loved to bake and cook and most of all she loved being a MOM.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her 3 sons, Robert McIver and his companion Amanda Cook of Brockton, Sean McIver and his wife Alyse and Brendan McIver both of Abington, her siblings, Deborah Lozzi and her husband Gerard of Bridgewater, Richard Ceurvels and his companion Sarah of Brockton, Kenneth Ceurvels of Abington, Michael Ceurvels and his wife Lisa of Marshfield, Gary Ceurvels of Abington, Cheryl Peltier and her companion Robert of Plymouth and Kristian Ceurvels and his wife Julia of Abington, her grandchild Aiden Michael, and her godmother Madeline Petrusewicz; also many nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews and many friends.

Her funeral services will be held on Thursday March 6th at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte 58 @ the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the St. Bridget Church, Abington. Interment will follow in the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 5th from 4:00-8:00PM.
