SPENCER: Joseph N. Snay died at the age of 77 on Thursday, Feb. 27 at his home.
Born in Leicester, he was the son of the late Noe and Mareia Snay. He was brother to Elizabeth Dowdy, wife of Billy Dowdy, of Millbury and Irene Tolman of Worcester . He leaves his nephew Mark Tolman of Bedford and niece Michelle Bonnevie and her children, Alexander and Erin of Spencer. Joe also leaves his many friends who worked and lived at his home. He will be missed.
Joe spent his younger years living in Belchertown and moved to Spencer in the 1990’s. Joe was full of love. He enjoyed dressing well, driving excursions, going out for coffee or ice cream, vacations in the spring and fall; hanging out reading or watching TV. Joe worked at HMEA in Sutton. He enjoyed working and found delivering Meals on Wheels to be the best.
Family and friends will honor Joe’s life at a Funeral Mass celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester . Burial will follow in St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford . A calling hour will precede the funeral on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:15a.m. in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester.
