Mary Jane "Midge" Palumbo, 83, of Colwell Drive, Johnston, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the widow of Vincent Palumbo.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Holnis (Ephremian) Enos. She had lived in Johnston since 1955. She had worked as an operator for Bell Telephone before retiring.
Mary Jane was a very kind and generous person. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining as well as preparing food for the needy and home bound.
She was the mother of Jeffrey R. Palumbo of Glocester and Roberta M. Palumbo of Glocester. She was the sister of the late Anna Brassill.
Her funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 am in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation Saturday morning 8:30-9:30am. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Please omit flowers. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
