SPRINGFIELD – Kevin F. Carroll, 77, a longtime resident at Baystate Place at 441 Chestnut Street in Springfield was Called Safely Home on Friday, February, 21, 2014. He passed into Eternal Life at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada on January 22, 1937, a beloved son of the late Cornelius I. and Mona (Bates) Carroll. In 1953, he came with his mother and family to Springfield. He graduated from the former Springfield Trade High School and was a lifelong resident of the city. He was last employed in the maintenance department at American International College in Springfield. He leaves his four loving sisters, Joan M. Malachowski and her husband, Edward, of Agawam, Mona F. Roncalli and her husband, Robert, of Springfield, Barbara A. Stabilo and her husband, Anthony, of West Springfield, and Eileen M. Gladu and her husband, Leslie, of Westfield; his four cherished nephews, William Malachowski and his wife, Maureen, of Collegeville, PA, Ted Malachowski and his wife, Stephanie, of Novi, MI, Paul L. Sheehan and his wife, Margaret, of Longmeadow, and David Sheehan and his wife, Jennifer, of Columbia, MD; his four cherished nieces, Joan Cummings of Connecticut, Mona Vancini of Springfield, Elizabeth Chmura of Wilbraham, Diane Knowles and her husband, Brian, and Donna Fieldhouse, all of Feeding Hills; and many cherished grandnephews and grandnieces.
