Obituary

BEVERLY: Theresa C. “Terry” (Cronin) Mailhoit, 86, died Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House following an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Raymond D. Mailhoit who died in 2006.
Born in Beverly on December 2, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Catherine (Vigars) Cronin. A graduate of St. Mary’s High School, she had resided in Hamilton for many years before moving to Beverly in 1984.
Terry was employed as a bookkeeper for many years, having retired from Varian in Beverly in 1997. Through her love of singing she became a member of the Rockport Community Chorus, St. Paul’s Church Choir, LaSallete Choir in Ipswich and was involved with the Mini-Singers Children’s Choir in Hamilton for many years. Terry also enjoyed camping and knitting for her family. She was a member of Varian Retirees and the Church of St. Paul in Hamilton.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Trask and her husband, Robert of Danvers, Carol Remsen and her companion, Andrew Green and Cynthia Churchill and her husband, Kevin, all of Beverly; three sons, Robert Mailhoit of Atlanta, GA, Raymond Mailhoit and his wife, Laurieann of Exeter, NH and John Mailhoit of Beverly; thirteen grandchildren, Tracey Trask, Tom, Scott and Carrie Remsen, Robert and Michael Mailhoit, Christopher Mailhoit, Amy Bartlett, Kelsey, Kristine and Diane Churchill, Alexis Mailhoit and Nicole and Sophia Mailhoit; five great-grandchildren, Steven and Colin Remsen, Teagan Fraser and Deven and Alyssa Bartlett and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Bruce Mailhoit and two sisters, Eileen Crawford and Roberta Dizazzo.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly at 1 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
