Obituary

Francis E. Gundal Jr., of Dedham, formerly of West Roxbury, died October 21, 2004 at the Stanley Tippett House in Needham. He was 65. Mr. Gundal was born in Boston and was the son of the late Francis E. Sr. and Catherine (Spang) Gundal. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a Dedham resident for 19 years. Mr. Gundal owned and operated Advantage Kitchen’s of Newton and Wellesley.

He was the husband of Margaret E. (Mahoney) Gundal. Father of Francis E. Gundal III of Newton, Karl W. Gundal of San Ramon, CA, and Katrina A. Gundal-Zaida of Lexington. Grandfather of Andrew and Kathryn Gundal. Brother of William and Kathleen Gundal of Marshfield, Barbara Gauss of Holbrook, and Mary Verwey of Bridgewater.

Visitation at the P.E. Murray – George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St., West Roxbury, on Saturday, October 23, from 12:00-2:00pm. Followed by a funeral service at the Newton Cemetery Chapel at 2:30pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Transplant Center at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, 110 Francis Street, Boston, MA 02215.
