Becky Jean Powell, 60, of Chesterfield died February 21, 2014 at Community Hospital after a three month illness.
She was born August 4, 1953 in Indianapolis, IN to Gordon Keith and Mary Kathleen (Snapp) Powell.
She held degrees from Ball State University and Marian University.
She was a drug and alcohol counselor for over 30 years.
Survivors include three sisters, Sandy (John) Lawson of Indianapolis; Karen Clark of California; Cathy (Jim) Dininger of Plainfield; aunt, Betty Guidry of Indianapolis; three special friends, Sharon Reed of Anderson; John Spurgeon of Indianapolis; Debbie (Delbert) Lucas of Anderson; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Keith and Mary Kathleen (Snapp) Powell and two brothers, Keith Powell and Thomas Powell.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 1st, 2014 at Millcreek Civic Center in Chesterfield with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
