MUNGO - Kimmie L. Holmberg Mungo, 57, passed away Monday afternoon, February 17, 2014 at her Fernandina Beach, FL residence.
Mrs. Mungo was born May 1, 1956 in Jamestown, NY and moved to Fernandina Beach 21 years ago from Elmira, NY.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. She was an accomplished travel agent before retiring to raise her children.
She was predeceased by her mother, Hellen Holmberg and a brother, Jay Homberg.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, William "Bill" Mungo III, of Fernandina Beach, FL; two daughters, Faye Bell-Mungo of Fernandina Beach and Tamsen Helene Mungo of Jacksonville, FL; a son and daughter in law, William F. and Brittine Mungo of Fernandina Beach; her father and step mother, Wallace and Catherine Holmberg, also of Fernandina Beach; a brother and sister in law, Kevin and Susan Holmberg of Chicago, IL; and six grandchildren, Amelia Rose Bell, Khloe Alexis Potter, Graicyn Baileigh and Madisyn Riley Collins; Liam Asher and Marlie Addisyn Mungo.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday February 21, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2600 Atlantic Ave. in Fernandina Beach with Pastor Ida Iverson officiating.
