Obituary

Charles S. Ciesinski, 85, of Baldwin Drive died Sunday, February 16, 2014 at his home. He was the husband of Florence A. (Walters) Ciesinski. They were married for 54 years.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Joseph and Sophie (Kropkowski) Ciesinski. He moved to Smithfield from Brooklyn, New York in 1972.

Mr. Ciesinski was a Special Agent for the IRS in the Criminal Investigative Division until his retirement. He was a U.S Army veteran, serving in West Germany in 1950-53 attaining the rank of staff sergeant, a graduate of Seton Hall University, and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Philip Church in Greenville.

He is also survived by his children: daughter, Therese M. Ciesinski and Harper Wright of Macungie, PA, two sons, Paul J. Ciesinski and his wife, Annette of East Hampton, CT and Mark W. Ciesinski and his wife, Donna of Colchester, CT and his grandchildren Anna, Katherine, Adam, Declan, Aidan and Ronan. He was the father of the late John J. Ciesinski and brother of the late Felicia Trupkiewicz, Felix and Adam Ciesinski and Casamira Lenz.

His funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:30 am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI 02828. Burial private. Visitation Friday 4-7PM
