Clare M. Banspach,94,of Cedar Forest Road died Sunday, February 16, 2014 at her home. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Banspach.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late William and Dora (LeClair) Hetherman. She was a longtime Smithfield resident and a member of St. Philip Church. She was a secretary until her retirement.
She is survived by her children, Mark Banspach of Smithfield, Mary Beth DesGranges of Clearwater, FL, Barbara Godbout of North Smithfield, Dorothy Walker of Aspen, CO and Helen Ferguson of Greenville; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Catherine Hetherman. She was the sister of the late Mary Terreault, Gertrude Carello and Henry Hetherman.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:30AM from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI. Visitation Thursday 4-7PM. Burial in RI Veteran’s Cemetery.
