New Bedford - Lauran "Larry" P. Silva, age 87, died Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at St. Lukes Hospital. He was the loving husband of Elsie C. (Correia) Silva. Survivors include a daughter Deborah wife of Henry Reis of Freetown, 5 grandchildren: Robert Jr. , Heather, Missy, Tyler and Jazz. He was the father of the late Robert G. Silva and brother of the late John, Herbert, Manuel, Frank, Doris, Laura, Mary, Sadia and Hilda.
Mr. Silva was the son of the late Joseph P. and Mary (Perreira) Silva . He was born in Provincetown and lived in this area most of his life. He was a maintenance man at Chamberlain Mfg. untill his retirement. He was a Tech 5 in the U.S. Army during World War II.
His Funeral Mass will be held Friday, October 22, 2004, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 8:45 A.M. Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Mass. at 11 A.M. Family and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be from 6 - 8 P.M. on Thursday October 21, 2004
