Judith M. McCain, of Wilmington passed away peacefully at the Winchester Hospital on February 10th, following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late John I. McCain who passed away in March of 2010. Born in Boston she was one of three children of the late Joseph J. and Magdelen (Raskauskas) Mason.
"Mam" as she was affectionately known to her family and friends was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a retired head teller at the Brookline Bank in Medford where she worked for many years. Mam enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by her family and the people she loved. Over the years she enjoyed spending time with family at her cottage in New Hampshire, traveling or just spending time by her pool with her grandchildren making many wonderful lasting memories.
In addition to her late husband and parents, Mam is predeceased by her sister; Margaret Cappellano. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Lisa Murphy and her husband Sean of Wilmington. She was the loving and doting grandmother of Sean Jr., Krista, Michael and Shannon Murphy. Cherished sister of Joseph Mason of Winthrop.
In keeping with Mam's wishes funeral services will be private. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701
