New Bedford- Virginia S. Lopes, 74, of New Bedford died Monday, October 17, 2004 at Sacred Heart Home. Ms. Lopes is survived by two Sisters Bette Douglas of New York and Adeline Crawford and her Husband Milton of Diamond Bar California. She is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews .
Ms Lopes was born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Anna Spencer and Antonio Lopes.She was a teachers aid in the New Bedford Public School System Ms. Lopes attended and graduated from the New Bedford Public School System, She Graduated from New Bedford High in 1948
The funeral will be Friday October 22, 2004 from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 10 A.M. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours are Thursday October 21, 2004 from 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
