Shirley E Brandt , 74, of Marshfield died February 8th surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Charlotte North Carolina, the daughter of Jocelyn and Edward Eubanks. She grew up in North Carolina and graduated from North Mecklenburg High School in North Carolina.
She married her high school sweetheart, George T Brandt and they moved to Massachusetts with his family. Shirley spent her professional career as an office administrator. She left this field to become a Tupperware Manager and opened an antique business with her husband. Shirl as she was fondly referred to by all those who knew her could always be relied upon to lend a helping hand. She was also known for her creativity and was always working on new arts and crafts. She was active member of the Marshfield community during her younger years. Shirley was always a caregiver for all and her pride and joy were own children and grandchildren. Life for Shirley was all about family.
Her husband, George T. Brandt died in 1998. She leaves her son George Edward-Tate Brandt and his wife Meg of Lincoln RI: two daughters, Sharon Ford and her husband Gary of Middleboro MA and Sondra Miller and her husband Thomas Of W. Harwich MA : 4 grandsons, Cody Miller, Nicholas Brandt, Kyle and Cory Ford. Three sisters Marion Carpenter of North Carolina, Brenda Williams of South Carolina and Susan Alfred of North Carolina and two brothers William and Edward Eubanks both of North Carolina.
Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Saturday, March 1 from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be held in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Shirley’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
