SOUTHBOROUGH: William B. “Bill” Minerella, 68, went peacefully to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family on February 12, 2014.
He was born in Boston on July 14, 1945 the son of the late Benjamin Minerella and Palma (Mancini) Minerella.
Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Helen C. (Siegel) Minerella of Hampton, NH formerly of Southborough. Devoted father of Pastor Jon David Minerella and his wife Carla of Seabrook, NH and Pastor Marc Minerella and his wife Stacie of Marlborough. Cherished grandfather of Sarah Tedeschi and her husband Nick of Seabrook, NH and Joshua Minerella of Seabrook, NH; Lawson Minerella, Livianna Minerella and Lucano Minerella all of Marlborough. Brother of Loretta Anderson of Watertown, Rosemary Richardson of Nashua, NH, Joanne Morrison and Robert Minerella both of Avon and the late Regina Bergin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bill spent his formative years in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School. He had been a resident of Southborough for over 21 years and recently moved to Hampton, NH. He retired as the New England Regional Service Manager for the Coca-Cola, Co. in Waltham after 37 years of dedicated and faithful service. For 28 years he served the Lord as a Deacon, youth leader and Sunday school teacher at the Wellesley Park Assembly of God (now the Celebration International Church) in Wayland, and 12 years at the Healing Rain Minstries in Seabrook. His family was the center of his life to whom he was dedicated. With his family, he enjoyed fishing, camping and time spent at the beach. He also loved to ride his motorcycle, especially with his brother “Bobby”.
At the request of his family, there will be no funeral home visitations.
A Funeral Service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Celebration International Church, 6 Loker Street (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Private family interment will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Pine Gove Cemetery in Westborough.
In lieu of flowers, his family suggests that memorial gifts in Bill’s memory may be sent to the Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
