AMESBURY - Diane M. (Thomas) Burke, 62, of Amesbury, formerly of Salem, died Tuesday evening, February 11, 2014 at the Anna Jaques Hospital, Newburyport with her family at her side.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late John and Patricia (Dodd) Thomas. Raised and educated in Salem, she was a graduate of Salem High School with the class of 1970.
Diane was employed for over 33 years as a customer service rep for A. W. Chesterton in Groveland.
A resident of Amesbury for the past 30 years, she enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, quilting and was a member of a quilting club in the Merrimack Valley area.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Scott and Sheila Burke of Roswell, GA, Gregory Burke of Amesbury, two grandchildren, Mary Burke and Madison Burke, both of Roswell, one sister, Carol Johansson of London, England, three brothers, James Thomas (wife Nancy) of Chula Vista, California, Edward Thomas of Orlando, FL, John Thomas of Los Angeles, CA and her niece Alexandra Johansson of London, England and nephews Christopher and Jimmy Thomas of Chula Vista, CA.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
