Emma M. Bonanno, a long time Dedham resident, died October 18, 2004 at the Caritas Norwood Hospital. She was 84. Mrs. Bonanno was born in Boston in 1920 and was the daughter of the late Nicola and Rosina (Christopher) Miranda. She was a Dedham resident for 30 years. During that time she was a member of St. Susanna’s Women’s Club, the Dedham Senior Citizens, Young at Hearts, and Volunteer for Fish.
She was the wife of the late Frank Bonanno. Sister of Liberata Dellorfano of West Newton, Peter Miranda of NH, and the late John, Angelo, Americo, and Anthony Miranda. Stepmother of Paula Barnicoat of South Boston, Carmella Shorey of AZ, and Denise Bonanno of NH. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High Street, Dedham, on Thursday at 8:00am. Funeral mass in St. Susanna’s Church, Dedham, at 9:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4:00-8:00pm. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
