Obituary

Henry Walter Bartzak, 86, passed away on Feb. 10, 2014 from liver cancer at the Wayland Nursing & Rehab. Center with hospice services.

Henry was born at home in Newton in 1927, the son of the late Wladyslaw & Josephine (Rodak) Bartzak.

He graduated from Newton High School in 1945 and played farm league baseball in the late 1940’s.

Henry was a Master Plumber, earning his master’s license in 1968. Henry worked for various plumbing firms, owned his own plumbing business in the 1970’s, and retired as the head of the Plumbing Shop at Wellesley College in 1992.

Henry often said that plumbers protect the health of the nation.

Henry is survived by his wife, Priscilla (Travis) Bartzak of Millis, MA, daughter Patricia Bartzak, granddaughter, Madeleine Bartzak, and son-in-law, Robert Boudrie, his dog buddies, Simon and Albert, all of Natick and stepson, Richard Dyro & his wife Peggy of Bedford, MA.

Henry is also survived by his brother, Joseph Bartzak of Newton and several nieces. Henry was pre-deceased by siblings Charles, Sabina & Edward Bartzak.

Henry’s memorial service will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Saturday, Feb. 15th at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 990 LaGrange St., W. Roxbury, MA.

This dark night shall end and the sun will rise again.
