Obituary

New Bedford – Louise C. (Perry) Geier, 94, of Acushnet died after a brief illness on October 18, 2004 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the widow of Max Geier.

Mrs. Geier was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Joseph R. and Mary (McGrath) Perry, and resided in Acushnet since 1939. She was employed as an office clerk by MetLife in New Bedford until her retirement in 1965. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Senior Citizens, New Bedford and Our Lady of Fatima Senior Citizens, New Bedford. She enjoyed reading and most of all spending time with her family.

Survivors include a son: Robert M. Geier and his partner Jim Coutinho of Acushnet; a sister: Margaret Landry of New Bedford; 4 grandchildren: Lindy Jenkins of Fairhaven, Cindy Barbash and her husband Steven of Shrewsbury, Jeffrey Jenkins of New Bedford and Gloria Jenkins and her fiancé Pete Milville of Acushnet; 5 great-grandchildren: Jennifer Jenkins of Acushnet, Clayton Jenkins of Acushnet, Andrew Barbash of Shrewsbury, Daniel Barbash of Shrewsbury and Nicholas Jenkins of Freetown; her dear friend Natalie Boudreau of Fairhaven; and several nieces and nephews.

She was mother of the late Betty Lou Jenkins, sister of the late Florence Grace and grandmother of the late Stephen Jenkins.

Calling hours on Wednesday, October 20, 2004, 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.

Funeral service on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the KIRBY FUNERAL HOME, 61 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford.

Interment in Acushnet Cemetery, Acushnet.
