EAST TAUNTON – Daniel L. “Moose” Bryan, husband of Virginia A. (Rebello) Bryan of East Taunton, died at Brockton Hospital on Feb. 9, 2014.
He was 67.
Born in Sharon, PA, he was the son of the late James C. and Anne L. (Woods) Bryan.
Raised in Florida, he attended Hialeah High School and later served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
He had resided in the Taunton area since 1970.
A retired electrician, Mr. Bryan was an active member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 223.
He was a member of the Holy Ghost Society of East Taunton, Portuguese American Civic Club, VFW Post 611, DAV Chapter 57 and the American Legion.
An avid Patriots and Red Sox fan, Mr. Bryan especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he leaves three daughters, Sharyn L. Souza and her husband Jerry of Fall River, Laurie J. Botelho and her husband Jeff of North Dighton, and Joanne M. Cumiskey and her husband Jim of Taunton; a sister, Anne L. Bolt and her husband Richard of Miami, FL; eight grandchildren, Danielle Souza, Scott and Daniel Cumiskey, Jeffrey and Ryan Botelho, Jared Cumiskey, Zakary Souza and Jacob Botelho; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, Feb. 14th at 9:45 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at Cedar Knoll Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Feb. 13th from 5 to 8 p.m.
