Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Obituary
Mrs. Slattery died Sunday at Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Brockton. Daughter of the late Dorothy Raynard she was raised by her parents Roger and Marion (Stearns) Bowley. Graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1958, Bridgewater State College in 1962 and she received her Masters from Anna Maria College in 1985. In 1998 she retired from Brockton High School after 32 years as a physical education teacher. Member of Mass. Teacher Association, Mass. Association Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, National Retired Teachers Association and Retired Educators and Administrators of Mass.
She was also on the Board of Directors and a past President of the Rockne Association. She loved sports, and while attending Brockton High she was a member of the swimming, basketball, softball and field hockey teams and she was captain of the Brockton High School basketball team. Mrs. Slattery also enjoyed spending her summers Dennis.
Survived by her husband Thomas F. Slattery, retired BPD, two sons, Thomas R. Slattery of Los Angeles, CA and Sean M. “Slatts” Slattery of Brockton, one grandson Casey Patrick Slattery, many nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles.
