Frances Mae McCorrison – Colwell a lifelong Homemaker of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, formerly of Stoughton passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday February 7, 2014. She was 89 years old and the beloved wife of Chester Colwell of North Kingstown, Rhode Island. She is also survived by her 3 daughters, Ruth Mae McCorrison and her husband Steven Odendahl of Boulder, CO, Claire B. McCorrison and her husband Dennis Ducoff also of Boulder,Co and Shirley F. Schwaab and her husband Carl of Hope Valley, Rhode Island. Frances was preceded in death by her son Paul C. McCorrison and her former husband Clarence McCorrison. Other survivors include her 3 grandchildren, Gabriel, Neil and Keith and her 2 great-grandchildren.
Born September 25, 1924 in Boston, Massachusetts she was the only child born to the late Isaac Russian and Bertha Levy. Her hobbies included music, reading, traveling and cooking. She was a former member and attended the First Congregational Church, United Church Of Christ in Stoughton. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday February 10, 2014 at 11 A.M. from the Sheehan, Lowe & Powers Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. A visiting hour will be held prior to the service from 10 – 11 A.M. ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. Cremation will follow and her burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Massachusetts humane Society, Inc. 87 Wharf Street, East Weymouth, MA 02189 in France’s memory, would be appreciated.
