Obituary

Virginia E. Benea passed away in the early morning of February 6th at her home in the care of her loving family at the age of 66. Beloved mother of Philip Salvucci and Peter Salvucci of Plymouth, her sisters Mary O’Brien and her husband Bill of Kingston and Susan Benea of Carver. She also leaves her 3 granddaughters, Sara Allen of Plymouth, Ashley Allen of Taunton and Gianna Salvucci of Kingston, her great granddaughter Priscilla Beliveau of Taunton and many nieces and nephews.
Virginia was born and raised in Plymouth, daughter of the late Joseph and Isabel (Cravinho) Benea. She worked as a floral designer after high school to which she earned a degree for at the (Ritter School of Design) in Boston, and then bartended at the Knights of Columbus for 35 years as well as the Sheraton/Radisson for 25 years. Virginia enjoyed reading, gardening, the beach and music as well as spending time solving word searches and drinking her tea. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 13th at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth from 4 to 7 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 14th at St. Mary’s Church at 10 AM followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Beth Israel Deaconess – Plymouth Cancer Center, 275 Sandwich St, Plymouth, MA 02360.
