Merton T. Mayhew Jr., 71, of Canton, MA, died Saturday, February 08, 2014 in the home of his daughter and son-in-law, in Bethlehem Twp., PA. Born in Canton, MA on August 13, 1942 to the late Merton T. Mayhew Sr. and Mary (Spierdowis). Merton was a night manager and bartender for 40 years at the Canton Town Club. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Canton and lettered in sports at Canton High School and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Merton enjoyed woodworking. Beloved father of Christy Anna (Kennett) Skopal (Thomas Jr.) with whom he resided and their children: Liam and Marc; sister of Mary Robbins of ME. Also survived by several nieces & nephews.
