Obituary

Lucien Croteau, 97, of Bedford, died February 2, 2014 at Catholic Medical Center after a period of declining health.
He was born in Manchester on August 14, 1916 to Alfred and Eulalie (Fortier) Croteau. He lived in Manchester for most of his life. He and his loving wife, Gertrude, also much enjoyed the snowbird life in Venice, FL for over 20 years.
Mr. Croteau was a homebuilder and real estate broker in the Manchester area and was president of Croteau Construction Company. He also worked for the Manchester Transit Authority for 36 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Teamsters Union.
He enjoyed playing golf and spending time at the beach with his wife and family.
He was predeceased by two siblings, Robert Croteau and Marcelle Muzzy.
The family includes his wife of 73 years, Gertrude (Remillard) Croteau of Bedford; three children, Lorraine Forest and her husband, Robert, of Ocala, FL, Robert Croteau and his wife, Claudette, of St. Augustine, FL and Dennis Croteau and his wife, Deborah, of Bedford; five grandchildren, Kimberly Montague, Kathryn Hollowood, Sarah Thompson, Jennifer Croteau and Matthew Croteau; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
