Margaret Elizabeth “Maggie” Philbrook, 13, of Manchester died February 1, 2014, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Manchester on March 11, 2000, she was the daughter of Stefan and Moira (Byrne) Philbrook. She had attended Smyth Road School and was an eighth grade student at Hillside Middle School.
Maggie loved school and spending time with her many friends. She enjoyed skiing, riding her bike, and listening to music. She was a proud Girl Scout, and also had been a cheerleader for the Manchester East Cobras. Above all else, she will be remembered as loving and devoted daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend who will be greatly missed.
Family members include her parents, Stefan and Moira Philbrook of Manchester; her brother, Lydon J. Philbrook of Manchester; her sister, Molly Philbrook of Manchester; her maternal grandmother, Ruth Byrne of Manchester; paternal grandparents, James and Ellen Philbrook of Manchester; paternal great-grandfather, Gordon Plummer of Lebanon, NH; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, February 8, 2014 in St. Joseph Cathedral, Pine St, Manchester.
