McClure, Dorothy Louise, born January 2, 1919, entered into the loving arms of her Savior February 1, 2014. She was an active member of Shively Christian Church, volunteered weekly at the American Red Cross, and ran her own ceramic business in PRP for over 25 years. Mostly, she loved and cared for her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William “Bill” McClure.
She is survived by her sons, “Dub” W.L. McClure (Bonnie), Harold McClure (Fran) and Jim McClure (Tammy); grandchildren, Bill Lee, Michael McClure (Rachel), Kim Norwood, Tammi Terry (Norm), Doug McClure (Lisa), Tim McClure (Kelli), Genny Tharp and Scott McClure (Brenda). Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Ryan & Kaylee McClure, Alex, Austin & Aiden Terry, Kendra & Bailey Norwood, Maddie & Cruise McClure, Drew McClure, Marissa & Megan Finley, Chris (Heather) Tharp, Garrett Tharp, Alyssa Church (Trevor), and Tessa McClure; and great-great-grandchild, Hadley Nicole Boone.
Funeral service for Dorothy will be 12 Noon on Wednesday, February 5th at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m.- 8 p.m. and Wednesday after 10 a.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made to her church.
