Shrewsbury - Anna (Shepeluk) Bisceglia, 94, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014. Her husband of 57 years, Maurice Bisceglia, died in 1998. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Russian immigrants, Christina (Lucevitch) and Wasily J. Shepeluk. She was a 1938 graduate of Commerce High School. Anna was a hard worker. She was a machine operator at General Electric for 20 years, a cashier at UMass Memorial Hospital for 10 years, and owned Anna's Italian Restaurant in Shrewsbury. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, playing cards, and spending summers at Priscilla's Beach with her family. Anna was a devoted member of First Assembly of God in Worcester.
She is survived by her son, Maurice B. Bisceglia; daughter, Patricia Martellotta; two grandchildren, Missy Dean and her husband, Dennis, and Mario Martellotta, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Ryan and Kylie Dean; brother, Joseph Shepeluk; and many nephews, nieces, and extended family. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters Sophie, Wasily, George, and Michael Shepeluk, Olga Coderre, Mary Bravaco, Alice Bisceglia, and Jenny Murphy.
Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, Mon., Feb. 3, 5-8 pm. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Tues., Feb. 4, at 10 am. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
