Morgan, James M., 88, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2014. He was a retired truck driver for Kroger, an Army veteran of WWII and a Mason. James is survived by his wife of 40 years, Myrtice (Wilcox); his children, Michael Morgan (Brenda), Mary Jo Back, stepchildren Kevin and Keith Bryant, and Valerie Bufkins; one sister, Edith Galladay; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchilden, and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-8 p.m. Friday and after 11 am Saturday.
