Steven R. Gaudet , of Stoughton, passed away after an extended illness, on Saturday October 9, 2004, at the Braemoor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton. He was 56 years old. He was the beloed son of Mr. Gerald V. Gaudet and Mrs. Claire G. (Coughlin) Gaudet of Stoughton.
Born August 18, 1948, in Boston, Massachusetts, he attended Boston Public schools and was a graduate of East Boston High School.
After high school, he enlisted in the U. S. Army, and was a veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He was a recipient of two Good Conduct Medals, both the National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.
After serving his country admirably, he began a career as a Beverage Company manager. He was employed by Trentacoste Brothers Beverage Company for 26 years.
He attended and was a communicant of St. James Church, in Stoughton .
He loved fishing.
Besides his parents, he is also survived by his sisters: Alice M. McKain, Denise F. Birchmore, Darlene M. Smith, all of Stoughton, and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service and interment will be private. Arrangements entrusted to the Sheehan Funeral Home, Stoughton.
