JoAnne R. Charette, 75, of Smithfield RI died on January 29th at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation after a long battle with illness.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Horace G. and Lillian G. (Prout) Thornton of Smithfield RI where she had lived and raised her family for most of their life!
Joanne had worked at A.T. Cross in Lincoln for decades before retiring in 2002. She was a person who worked hard in providing for her family and those around her! She was a woman who believed in hard work and integrity and passed that on to her family with the spirit of “Nothing Ever Coming for Free”!
She is survived by her children: Jerry L. Espinosa of Rehoboth, Michael T. Espinosa of Rehoboth and Michelle Pagliaro of Providence, three grandchildren: Joey Pagliaro, Brian and Brooke Espinosa and a great granddaughter: Aliyah Paglioro. Her greatest relationship was with her lifelong friend and confidant, cousin Gloria Carbone. She is also survived by her sisters June Culver and Jeanne Petersen. Please remember her as a person who did her best in gave everything that she had!!
Funeral service Tuesday at 11:30am in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Burial in Highland Memorial Park. Visitation Monday 5-7 pm.
