Martha Elnor Berry, age 96, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley, MS. She was born May 21, 1917 in the Pine Valley Community in Yalobusha County, MS to the late Ellerson and Mae Vaughn Cofer. Elnor was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, tending her flowers, cooking and spending time with family and friends. For as long as her health permitted she was an active and faithful member of Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church of Water Valley, serving for many years as a Sunday school teacher.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Elnor is survived by her son, Billy Wayne (Mary) of Memphis, TN and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Berry.
