Robert R. Bell, Jr., 52, of Londonderry, NH, died Tuesday January 28, 2014, in his home in Londonderry. He was born in Winchester, MA on April 13, 1961, a son of Lois (Bartosch) Bell and the late Robert R. Bell, Sr. Bobby was raised and educated in Reading, MA, and was a graduate of Austin Preparatory School and later from Norwich Academy in 1984. He served in the Army Rangers from 1984 - 1988 as a 1st Lt. Bobby worked in the financial services field for many years and was recently employed as an insurance agent with American Income Life Insurance.
Bobby was an outdoorsman who enjoyed camping and loved boating on Lake Winnipesaukee. He enjoyed attending his children’s sporting events and was a multi-level hockey referee. He loved cooking, especially grilling and had adopted two rescue dogs. He was known to his friends as “Bobby Bell” and was always ready to help anyone in need. Bobby had a great affection for Sandy Island on Lake Winnipesaukee where he loved vacationing with his “Week 3” second family. He will forever be remembered for his love of life in both his adventures and misadventures that made so many smile.
In addition to his mother Lois Bell of Reading, he is survived by two daughters, Katelyn L. Bell, and Sarah R. Bell, both of Londonderry; and his son, Joshua E. Bell, of Londonderry, a sister Linda Isabelle and her husband Scott of Wolfeboro, NH, a niece, Amy Isabelle and his former wife Annemarie E. (Grady) Bell of Londonderry and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father in 1998.
Calling hours were held on Friday, January 31st from 4 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Following cremation, a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30am in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading, MA.
