Roger L. Morin Jr. 54, of Fox Run Rd, died Tuesday at home. He was born in Woonsocket, a son of Roger and Lorraine (Raiche ) Morin of Cumberland. Roger was a graduate of North Smithfield High School, and New England Technical Institute, and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was an HVAC technician for AmGen for ten years retiring in December due to illness. He previously worked for Landmark Medical Center for fifteen years. Roger was an avid golfer and a former member of the Sayles Hill Rod and Gun Club.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a son, Andrew Morin of Burrillville, a daughter, Stephanie Cross and her husband Robert of Hollywood FL, a granddaughter, Isla, two brothers, David Morin and his wife Cheryl of Woonsocket, Michael Morin and his wife Judi of Woonsocket, and his friend and companion Cheryll Young. He was also the brother of the late Janet Boutiette.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 So. Main St with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. John’s Church in Slatersville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visting hours will be held Friday 4-7 PM.
