Obituary

Dominick “Rusty" Bonaccorso, age 85, passed away on January 27, 2014. Mr. Bonaccorso was a World War II Army veteran who served in Korea. He formerly lived in the West End of Boston, New York City and Provincetown.
He was a graduate of the New York School of Design. His career as a make-up artist, hair stylist and costume designer took him to Broadway Theatre, where he maintained his professional career.

After his retirement, he moved to Provincetown where he cherished living near the ocean. He loved traveling, the arts, reading and his favorite sport was baseball.

He was the beloved son of the late Nunzio and Margaret Bonaccorso. He is survived by his brother, Salvatore Bonaccorso of California, and his sister, Rose Fiorello of Medford, MA. He was the brother of the late Ida Bellissimo, Josephine Fiore and Constance Caruso. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and several great grand nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, MA 02155. The funeral mass will follow immediately after and will be held at St. Joseph’s Church in the West End of Boston. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Roslindale, MA.

A memorial service will also be held for him in Provincetown at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dominick’s name to The Friends of the Provincetown Council on Aging, 2 Mayflower Street, Provincetown, MA 02657.
