Maria L. (Cabral) Machado, age 81, of Somerset passed away January 27, 2014. She was the wife of the late Manuel Machado. Born in Mosteiros, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria dos Anjos (Vieira) Cabral. Maria worked for many years as a machine operator for Quaker Fabric Co. She was also a member of St. Michael Church.
Maria was the mother of Carlos Machado and Tiago Machado both of Somerset. She was the sister of Conceicão Oliveira of N. Dartmouth and Manuel Cabral of Portugal and the aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on THURSDAY at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 10:00 A.M.
