Alonzo Crocker, age 75, passed from this life Saturday, January 25, 2014 surrounded by family and friends at his home in Coffeeville, MS. He was born November 23, 1938 in Yalobusha County to the late Dewitt and Mollie Gilmore Crocker. Alonzo loved spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildlren. He was a member of Gatewood Church of God.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Goshen Church in Yalobusha County, MS with Bro. Keith Burney and Michael Haas officiating (Processional to Goshen Church will leave Seven Oaks Funeral Home at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 29, 2014). Burial will be in the Goshen Church Cemetery.
Alonzo is survived by MaryAnn Crocker; three daughters, Patricia Crocker Farrar of Oxford, MS, Amanda Crocker Haas (Michael) of Water Valley, MS and Hope A. Crocker Martin (Mike) of Coffeeville, MS; his son, Timothy Alonzo Crocker of Coffeeville, MS; two sisters, Lynda Crocker Farmer and Dianne Crocker Chandler both of Coffeeville, MS; one brother, Robert Crocker of Coffeeville, MS; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jamie Crocker, Mary Lee Crocker Melton and Peggy Crocker Brown.
