Obituary

Connie (Lynch) Walsh, a long time Holliston resident, died peacefully after a courageous battle with breast cancer on October 14, 2004 at the Metro – West Medical Center in Framingham. She was 82.

Mrs. Walsh was born in Concord, MA in 1922 and was the daughter of the late John and Sally (Dee) Lynch. She grew up in Concord and was a graduate of Concord High School. She later went on to graduate from LaSalle College in Newton. She has been a Holliston resident for the past 56 years. Mrs. Walsh worked as an administrative assistant at the Wellesley College Infirmary. She was also a member of the Holliston Historical Society and the Friendly Aid Society of Holliston. Connie was best known for her unending optimism. Her passions in life included her love for entertaining and traveling with her family and her enduring multi generational friendship.

She was the wife of the late Leo J. Walsh, DMD. She is survived by her children, Christopher Walsh of Pacific Palisades, CA, Constance Dugan of Hilton Head Island, SC, Alice Walsh of Holliston, and Sarah Wilson of Lynchburg, VA. Also survived by eight grandchildren. She was the sister of John Lynch of Sharon, CT and David Lynch of Yarmouth.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday October 23, 2004 in St. Mary’s Church, Holliston, at 11:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Holliston. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Connie’s memory to the Holliston Food Shelf, 23 Water Street, Holliston, MA. 02146.
