Robert A. Bogdanchik age 66 of Chantilly, VA, formerly of Canton passed away suddenly January 21st at the Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax, VA. Born in Milford, he was raised in Mansfield, and graduated from Mansfield High School and Tufts University. He previously worked for the Massachusetts Department of Corrections in the Reception Diagnostic Center for 13 years, later went on to work for GTE and most recently CSC in Virginia as a Senior Manager of Security Services. He has lived in Chantilly, VA for the last 20 years and previously lived in Mansfield and Canton. He was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast who loved the Patriots and Red Sox. He was a member of several Professional Security Services Organizations and a former member of the Blue Hill Mason’s Lodge in Canton. Beloved husband of Marsha A. (Jenkins). Father of Jo A. Campbell and her husband Michael of Manchester, NH, Stephanie Hartnett and her husband David of Roslindale and Paula J. Bogdanchik and her husband David DeCotret of Cumberland, R.I. Grandfather of Valerie, Robert and Olivia Hartnett and Ashley Campbell. Brother of Walter Bogdanchik, Jr. and his wife Elaine of Mansfield, Virginia Downey and her husband Stephen of Attleboro, and Cynthia Kerr and her husband Jeffrey of Walpole. Brother in law of George Jenkins and his wife Marla, William Jenkins and his wife Judy, and Eleanor Connolly and her husband John all of Canton, Patricia Cavuoto and her husband Frank of N.J. and Cheryl Barry and her husband Jim of N.H. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Tuesday 5-8 pm.
