Andrew W. Boulay, 65, of Derry, NH passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 23, 1948 in Derry, NH a son of the late Archille “Archie” and Florence (Sullivan) Boulay. Andrew owned and operated the Shute’s Corner Country Store in Derry for 15 years with his wife Karen. In recent years, he worked in maintenance for the Grinnell School in Derry. He was an avid runner and was known around town for always running with his dog. He enjoyed gardening, being outside and just tinkering around the yard. Andrew will always be remembered as a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Karen J. (Moynihan) Boulay of Derry, two daughters, Amy Rose Jose of Derry, and Rebecca Boulay of E. Derry, one granddaughter, Abigail Jose, one grandson, Daniel Keith, Jr., two brothers, Daniel Boulay of SC and James Boulay of GA, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and by his sister, Rose Hatch.
Calling hours were held on Monday, January 27, 2014 from 4 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial followed in the Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry.
